It’s no secret that I get nervous speaking publicly, but it turns out I’m a push-through-the-pain kinda gal. So after sweating from my hands through my first radio interview back in April, I went back to do it all again.
Last week I returned to Book, Stage and Screen to talk to Samantha and Gordon about writing and indie publishing. I actually took a piece of paper that said, ‘The Companion series is about…’ because I knew when they asked that question I would blank. That’s what I did last time. ‘It’s about a girl’ is an actual quote from the last interview. About a girl you say? Fascinating. Not many books about those.
Anyway, I’m pleased to announce that I may be improving in that department. Breathing helped. You can actually think when your brain gets oxygen. Who knew?
For anyone interested in indie publishing (or my writing process) you can listen to the interview below…
If you live in Melbourne’s west, Book, Stage & Screen is on 88.9 Wyn Fm Mondays from 5-7pm.
